Pull the chain off the motor unit sprocket and out of the chain spreader. Reattach the chain and tighten it to the proper tension see your owner s manual. Reassemble the motor assembly and place it back in the opener. Slide the outer trolley away from the inner trolley.

If you have a screw drive opener you ll need to grease several spots along the rail gear at least once or twice a year. Start by unplugging the motor. Then install the helical gear assembly. If not your opener might simply be shot and you ll need a new one.
